Looking For Work

Number of View: 33050

Dear Friends,

I have decided to start this page to allow the jobless community to place their skills and contact email for potential employers who are looking for workers.

Simply register your interest in the comment page and remember not to put your personal contacts e.g. telephone numbers or even your real name on the page.

A sample has being done for you to follow  and remember to post only your skills and position looking for in the comment column – do not post your whole resume inside.

As this is a pilot scheme  we are starting, jobless raders looking for work should not place too much hope on this job searching method.

Good luck to all! Never give up.

Hi, I am a 25 year old Singaporean Citizen possessing a Diploma in Management Studies. I was last working in DBS as a Customer Service Officer and left to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance. Unfortunately I was forced to leave due to my brother’s illness. Since his death in August, I have been looking for full-time employment and in the future plan to work through a Part-time degree in my previous course. I am service oriented, with good people skills, articulate and possess a commendable attitude and aptitude for learning. Any potential employers are welcome to e-mail me. Willing to start work immediately as I have been unemployed for several months and am feeling extremely restless. Have a good day.

    Warmest Regards.

    Hi Khai,
Can I beg that you don’t compete with me for temp jobs ?
I am 42 with a mum and a son to feed. Being unemployed for 2 months. Most employees prefer young, energetic girls even for temp positions.

Sorry for making this request but you are surely in a better employability position than an old, miserable, untalented Singaporean man is.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Hi readers,

Some readers commented that foreigners cannot post item here re job search.
Then the system got to filter out these posting either by NRIC no not Fin no.

Seen we are all tag by this Nric no. use it but not display on the screen , backend filter . otherwise do not post it on the website.

Otherwise this is a free website for posting. That is how foreigners can get in here. There is no censorship.
Dont get me wrong I am a true blue Singaporean.

  21. I really enjoy the article.Much thanks again. Will read on…

Hi! My name is Fauziah.I have only a GCE N level certificate with 5 credits.Since leaving school, i am engaged in manufacturing industries for almost 15 years of experiences right until now.I have just previously resigned cos my pay after cpf deductions was too little for me to support my family since my hubbby recently only managed to work part time basis for the time moment. And because there is a huge influx of immigrants such as China,Myammar that supervisors even though our locals have put much more trust and higher position to them than us Singaporean. These have not happened at my recent place of work but it happens to other factories I have worked as well.As though I ,myself felt as Singaporeans,we were competing with the foreigners with no avail in our own country to even win the trust of Singaporean supervisors who prefer to put the foreigners’ welfare before us.I have previously gone to some CDC courses such as CATS test which i successfully have a grade of 6 for Reading,Listening,Numeracy,Writing, and 7 for my Speaking skills.I have taken the CSP courses(Certified Skills Professional) and also competent in Windows Office 2007 and Excel.I am very interested in Tourism and since child I have always wanted to be a Tour Coach. There is a WSQ course for tour coach but I can’t afford the fee courses as it is too costly.Right now I am still searching for a suitable job other than Manufacturing positions as I am tired of being a shadow in the industry that foreigners successfully won the many hearts of our own Singaporean supervisors.
