it is not the money. you think the money given out is a lot? do you know how much was that? do you know what is required to have a kid and raise a kid? i donlt even have space to breath, let alone my 2 kids!

Just an excuse to support their policies. Do you think they care about increasing the number of babies, how long does a baby becomes a working digit.

They just want to control and maintain the “modern slaves.” in Singapore with foreigners.

Just vote in SDP/NSP/SPP candidates into Parliament.

I guess its timely for Singaporeans to step out of their comfort zone and do something against this government-led influx of foreigners into our country.

Join us this coming Saturday at 5.30pm at Speakers’ Corner to protest against this invasion. We can’t take it lying down anymore.

Its not about birth rate but a cynical replacement of local citizens with foreigners so that their political survival can be maintained!

I have worked with many FT and I certainly think the Pinoys and the Pinays are the worst colleagues to work with.

They do gang up, form their own interest group and bully the minorities. Plus they are not exactly productive in work as well.

I think that they should be the last consideration to issue a pass to work there.

Our elites are alright with converting foreigners into “Singaporeans”. They dont need to deal with the daily tortures of being overwhelmed with foreigners. A Singaporean is just someone with an NRIC. The Singaporean identity is not worth preserving. The elites would rather learn how to cook French cuisine. As long as there is manpower to do the jobs, to run their businesses, the elites are happy. Why waste money to boost birth rate of ordinary Singaporeans?

There are many factors which deter singles from marrying or prevent married couples from having more babies. Singapore is too expensive, too stressful, too fast-paced, too crowded etc. for raising kids. If the environment is not conducive for romance or kids, people would rather remain single. The increasing divorce rate is also a deterence for wanting to get married. Financial incentives can never be enough to relieve the burden of raising kids. Raising kids require a lot of effort, time & patience which working parents cannot afford to give.

Using immigration to solve the problem of low birth rate will only lead to more problems such as competition for housing, jobs etc. Many PMETs are also getting retrenched at a younger age & have problems surviving, don’t mention raising kids. It is ironic that the govt is encouraging workers to continue working after retirement and yet retrenching middle-aged workers. If our survival is at stake, we won’t have the $$ to raise a family. It would be a struggle to even feed ourselves and our parents, don’t need to mention about raising kids.

it could only mean that you are not one of their kind.

This is kind of typical style of mismanagement.

MOM will normally supports and side employer, this has been happening since the day of the MOL (Ministry of Labour).

If your salary is more than $25k, you will need to find our lawyer to settle this.
