Female PMET aged 40s finding it difficult to land a job

Hi Gilbert,

I chanced upon your website and would like to find out more about your services.

I am a PMET in my 40s, who has been looking for a job for quite some time but have not been successful. I sent out many job applications, and most of the time, I did not get a response. The few job interviews I went for, I was not selected for the job.

I have read a couple articles on your website and found them helpful – appreciate the sharing provided by others through your site.

I hope that you will get back to me soon.

Thank you so much and have a good day

Yours sincerely,

Carmela Chen

Actually i see alot in my company are in their 40s.
Unless you are late 40s then maybe employer may find you not fit to be groom, yet not fast enough to be a job filler.
I would rather say often people cannot find job is due to qualification, such as experience salary education.
World had become very competitive, if you are like poor experience (decade of experience does not make a candidate good), private degree etc, chance may be low

    Hi Carmela,

Me too! Been searching for a job for 7 months now.
I even cut my pay expectation by 1K and still not successful.
I’ve been to many interviews but no luck so far.
I’m also wondering if my age (43) is the problem.
I’ve been working as a secretary for 20 years.
My last boss resigned 3 mths into his job and caused me and my team to be made redundant.
Thanks to him i’m havig a very difficult time now!
I get emotional and upset at times and came upon this website trying to find out if there’s some group support for people like us.
I hope you get a job soon! And i hope for myself too.
    Let’s stay positive!!
    All the best!!
