Hi Gilbert
I do have a certain direction after meeting with Albert (career coach). Not sure on whether I can achieve it but will still try.
But in terms of emotion-wise, I can’t help feeling a sense of loss and always panicky. The thought of not working has made me feel useless. I have tried to involve in activities (today is my son 1st day in P1), I am feeling more stressful knowing that without any work, I am nothing.
I know I have make plan in finding jobs, seeking friends’ recommendation and also applying for Taxi license as a fall back. Still I can lapse back to my disappointment condition after talking to Albert or any of my friends.
In short, I am not sure how to reply on my condition. But thanks for asking.
Andrew
Editor’s note: The writer has recently found a job and will be starting soon though it is from a different industry with a obvious pay cut. He is fortunately jobless only for two months. The average jobless duration for most PMETs currently is 6 to 8 months before they land another job. We wish him all the best ahead.
