I tried getting some financial assistance from Community Development Council (CDC) in Singapore because I am underemployed and in financial difficulties. However, they have turned me down.
Are you aware of any other clean sources of financial assistance which I can turn to in Singapore?

Dear Peter,
You can visit CDAC (Chinese Development Assistance Council) at 65 Tg Katong Road. It is a self-help group for the Chinese community.
If you take the train you can alight at Paya Lebar MRT station. The office is located directly opposite the City Plaza building.
They are open from 9 am to 5.30pm daily and on Saturday they are open till 12.30. They are close on Sunday.
Application is subject to approval. However, if you have a job right now it will be very difficult for them to provide you with any financial assistance.
You can also write in to us providing more details of your financial and family situation. We have a small fund to dispense to the jobless community in dire straits.
