$50 to put photo up on brothel site

The Chinese evening daily received a call from reader Mr Tan, who had offered to contact a prostitute through an online brothel for the story.
The taxi driver had contacted a prostitute from one such website, and they met at a hotel in Lavender Street where Mr Tan spoke to her. No transaction of sexual services took place between them.
In the ‘confirmation’ SMS that Mr Tan received, the call girl had requested him to book a hotel room and inform her of the address. She promised to turn up in 10 minutes and said that she will provide the condom.
The following is a transcript of the conversation that took place between Mr Tan and the prostitute he spoke to:
Mr Tan: How old are you, and where do you come from?
Call Girl: I am 28 years old and come from Fujian, China.
Mr Tan: How long have you been in Singapore, and where are you staying?
Call Girl: This is my fifth time here in Singapore. I’ll stay up to a month each time, and it’s always at a friend’s place in Geylang.
Mr Tan: How many customers do you service a day? Did you figure out how to upload the photos online by yourself?
Call Girl: My friend introduced (the online brothel) to me! All I need to do is to pay $50 and provide a photo of myself and someone will put it online. It’s very easy. This method is the most effective now, a lot of my customers use this method to get in contact with me.
Mr Tan: How many people are doing this (uploading their photos to online brothels) now? Was anyone ever caught? Is is better than street walking at Geylang?
Call Girl: It’s definitely better online. We only go out once a customer has ‘booked’ us, and don’t have to spend one entire day standing out in the streets at Geylang. Many of my sisters (fellow prostitutes) post their photos online too. But when business is bad, we still walk the streets in Geylang.
