I want to discuss the matter relating to foreign professional in Singapore.

It seemed that local university students tend to face tougher competition once they graduate especially  during this present recession.

Some of the foreign students, if my memory is right, were given scholarship by the Spore govt. I was reading the Indonesian newspaper in Indonesia and there is this advertisement by one of the Spore universities encouraging Indonesian student to apply for the scholarship.

There has been a survey that most local students prefer to work in other countries rather than in Singapore.

As for the foreign students, they also prefer to work in Singapore  for some years before heading back to their own  countries. I talked to some of the foreign professionals including the PR -  majority of them like to keep their original citizenship than to covert to the Singaporean citizenship. Reason is the cost of living is just too high now.

Surprisingly some  Singaporeans rent out their HDB flat and bought houses in neighboring JB, Malaysia in order to lower their living cost.

I believe in Australia, there could be many Malaysians who could be Singapore PR or used to work in Spore before. Have a nice day.

Thank you and regards.
