Our third and final networking support group session will be held on 8 Sep (Tues) at 10.30am. This will be our second series for the year. The first series was held in May.
Readers who have attended our earlier sessions have shared that they found them encouraging and enlightening. Many came out in apprehension initially but after sitting through the sessions, have found support from one another.
Many men I know find it difficult to share their issues with one another in the open. However, if one is able to lower one’s pride and take some risk here, the end result can be enriching.
Especially for those who are in prolonged unemployment i.e more than a year, it is good that they can break out from their shell and learn to reach out to similar fellow friends in transition. Many have also make good friends from the sessions often inviting out for kopi the following week to catch up. Networking tips are also shared among one another.
Who knows, the session may be a catalyst to better times ahead.
Take care and do email me at gilbert@transitioning.org if you want to attend the third session.
My apologies that I am still in Sydney and unable to attend the session. Alan will be the moderator for the session. Have a good time networking!
Cheers.
Gilbert
