If you are an unemployed PMET needing the knowhow to launch your own business, here’s help.
The Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, together with Vector Scorecard (Asia-Pacific) and the Enterprise Development Centre@SMCCI, launched a PMET-Business Incubation Acceleration Programme yesterday.
The hands-on programme will help applicants plan, create, incubate and accelerate businesses on a “build, operate and transfer” approach – the first of its kind here, according to organisers.
The idea is to help PMETs “build a source of sustainable income while minimising risk”. They will get full-time professional and infrastructure support from three dedicated entrepreneur resource centres.
Each business “should be ready for commercialisation within six months”, said Vector’s regional director of operations and advisory services, Mr MH Nazzim.
The hands-on programme aims to incubate projects across six business groups – F&B, event management, business technology, trading and wholesale, professional services and publications. It can accommodate 25 successful applicants every quarter. For more details, email project@vsapac.com or call 6534 8047/49.
