Transitioning is conducting a talk on entrepreneurship on 12 June (Fri) at 10am to 12 noon.
Two local entrepreneurs will present their experiences and tips on how to kick start one-man sole proprietor businesses. They will also share certain pitfalls they have encountered and ways to overcome them.
In this trying time, especially for thsoe in their 40s – 50s, getting reemployment seems a tall order. Someone here commented to me that they saw many mid career managers in this vulnerable age group going for low end jobs that mean a drastic cut in pay and a deep stab to their self esteem.
There should be more options going for mid career managers with their vast experience and know how. They have also exhausted all retraining options available to them.
Application is now open for those who are keen to learn from these two local entrepreneurs. There is also a chance to network with others who are exploring small start-up here. It is also good for those in transition to get out of their house and mingle with others in similar situation.
Please email me at gilbert@transitioning.org to indicate your interest to attend and I will reserve a place for you. Places are somewhat limited so we will go on a first-come-first serve basis.
Thank you.
