Some of us will be volunteering at Bizlink’s jobfair on 21 May (Thurs) from 9am to 4.30pm.

Bizlink is a non profit organisation that assists the disabled to look for employment.

People in transitioning will be helping out during this event. I am sure that we will all be blessed.

Volunteering is a good way to spend those long hours we have away from home. It also creates a feel good feeling within us as we give away out time and effort to help the less priviledged.

Volunteering is also one form of networking which will open up doors for employment espeically if we have done it often enough to catch other people attention. Alot of volunteers find full time employment in the social work service when there are vacancies available. It makes sense to offer work to those who are already volunteering at your centre as you already know him and how he works.

This event is unfortunately open only to those who have attended some of our services and I regret that there are no more vacancies available.

I will inform those in transition on future volunteering opportunities.

Thank you.

Gilbert
